God’s Chisel
When God chisels the dead weight out of our lives it can be very painful. In one of their most requested skits, Tommy and Eddie give a very creative look at a typical believer having to go through the process of discipline.
I’m so glad my husband shared it with me.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is here again. So much has changed this year in our lives. Most of the changes have been good ones. All of the changes have been filtered through the fingertips of our Lord God. We’ve learned a dependence on the Father that we’d not known before. We’ve learned that not only does the Son, Jesus Christ, offer salvation to us in eternity, but a day to day salvation right now in the things we face here. We’ve learned much about the Holy Spirit’s guiding and are now more committed than we’ve ever been before. We have chosen to commit our plans to the Lord and trust that He will make straight our path. We have learned that He will provide and protect us. We praise Almighty God for that! We’re once again in a time of change in our life; but, praise God, our marriage is strong, our kids love God, and we all love each other. That is a rare and precious treasure these days. We are praying for direction and God’s perfect will for our family. Perhaps this is a season of change for you as well. Our prayer for you is that you will seek your security and your stability from a personal real relationship with God the Father, our Creator, Jesus Christ our Savior and God’s Son, who was with God the Father from the beginning, and of course, the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Teacher. We and you CAN do all things through JESUS CHRIST who strengthens us. As you go into this new year, we urge you to think seriously about your relationship with HIM.

May God bless you and your family and friends during this Advent season, Christmas, and throughout the New Year.

God bless and have a wonderful weekend!

Happy at Home

Hello world!

Dear Reader,

I’m so happy to spend a few moments with you as this old year is preparing to change to the new.  Change can be an uncomfortable thing, but it’s often a good thing.  I love the assurance of knowing that GOD works all things together for those who love HIM who are called acording to HIS purpose.

This blog is one of those changes for me.  I’ve read blogs for years, but I’ve never had the courage to write myself.  Well, I plan to change that with the LORD’s help.  I hope you’ll visit me often as I build my little blog home.  I have many interests, as I’m sure you do:  Christian living, frugal living, cooking, writing, raising children, discipline-theirs and mine, loving my husband, caring for my home, scrapbooking, sewing.  Oh, the list goes on and on.  Won’t you join me as I begin my blogging journey?

Happy at Home,
