Putting a Little Sparkle in Our Lives

We have all done it…a kind smile to a young mother with a fussy child…an encouraging word to someone who is facing adversity…a gentle reminder that God truly loves us and is active and present in our lives…a few words of understanding or wisdom…relating experiences that might help others along their way…teaching the young wives to love their husbands and their children…sharing the love of Jesus Christ in a practical way.

Why am I thinking about sparkles?  Marie, of Marie’s Muses, http://journals.aol.co.uk/mariealicejoan/MariesMuses/ ,  gave me my first award.  She is just too kind!  She certainly puts a sparkle in my day, too!  You really must check out her blog.  She’s a gem.  Now, to be honest, I’m so new to blogging, I don’t know how to make my links work, let alone know what I’m to do with an award. ~smile~

I do gather that I am to pass the honor on to someone who has sparkled for me.

I choose:

Sue at http://countrypleasures.blogspot.com because she has welcomed me into the blogging community with such faithful encouragement.  I check her blog often;

and,

Anna at

http://www.pleasantviewschoolhouse.blogspot.com/ .

I’ve been reading Anna’s blog for many months.  I originally found her entries about her many sewing projects to be inspiring.  These last few days and weeks, however, she has shown such a sweet sweet spirit as she has cared for her grandmother in her final days on earth.  What a wonderful kindness to escort her grandmother to the arms of Jesus in a loving home surrounded by loved ones.

Each one of us sparkles in our own way.  So, I encourage you to sparkle brightly for the Lord, for your husband, for your children, for your family and friends, and for the people whom God leads across your path.

Peace to you and those you love from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Laura
