Thank God for What You Have. Trust God for What You Need.

Contentment.  I’ve been trying, really I’ve been trying.  I’ve been trying to trust, trying to believe, trying to have faith, trying to be content until God changes our circumstances.   We have been having financial troubles because my husband has been without an income for awhile.  Well, Bless God!  This week, my husband found employment.  Thank you Jesus!  We are just about to the bottom of our resource barrel.  This is perfect timing.

Perfect timing. Doesn’t it seem appropriate that the creator of time would have perfect timing?

Black, White and Red Wall Clock

We were concerned with how we were going to pay the rent in March.  Guess what!  We received a miracle check in the mail today that will cover the rent and some gasoline, too.  Praise God!  He’s awesome, amazing, splendidly wonderful.  That check was completely unexpected.  I’ll bet he delighted in planning this little surprise for us.

Humbled by His Loving Generosity,

  1. I know I shouldn’t be, but I am always surprised when God comes through for me. I suppose there is a part of me that questions why, when there are people with far greater problems in the world, why he would concern himself with my own tiny problems. But the scriptures tell us that he sees each sparrow that falls and crys tears over them and so he does with us. Thank God for all the tiny miracles he gives to us each day!

  3. Laura;

    I would like to know where you got the quote, “Thank God for what you have, Trust god for what you need”.

    I am in the exact same situation you described and that quote was given to me. It was and is encouraging.

    Thanks
