Oh for that kind of faith…
a faith that is willing to give it all away for Jesus’ sake knowing that He will provide all of our needs according to His riches in glory,
a faith that trusts Him explicitly without”fretting or worrying,
a faith that does not doubt His love or His provision or His timing,
a faith that is strong even when we don’t see answers to our prayers.
Faith is hoping and believing and trusting all wrapped up together. It is a gift from God. The Word says that”…faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 This tells me that I need to not only read scripture, but read it aloud and listen to it being read aloud. I want to hear from God from His word.
I want that Faith that is a gift from God.

Laura i aggree with you 100% about reading out loud and
and listening to my own words.This have been my pratcice
for years.
However Paul who was sent to us Gentiles ( non Jews ) said
for us to speak to ourselves in psalms hymes and in spiritual songs.
James also tells us we must be doers of the word and not hearers only.
I’ve learned over the years until we obey their commandments
given for us to obey we are using faith without works, which will never produce any fruits of faith,would’t obedience make
a difference?

Yes, works and obedience do make a difference. Faith is one element of Christian life that is indispensible. There are others, too.
“Faith without works is dead.” See James 2:14-20.
Romans 5:19
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (New King James Version)
“4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
I wrote of faith and trust because right now they are my greatest need and my greatest challenge.
I do apologize if I made it sound as though other elements of Christianity are unnecessary.
